911 emergency calling (E911)
Signal supports 911 calling, but internet-based 911 has material limitations compared to a traditional landline: it may not work during a power or internet outage, or if a phone is moved without updating its registered address. Keep the physical address for every phone and extension current, and tell us immediately when a device is relocated. The full disclosure is in our Terms of Service, Section 5.
Call recording & AI features
Call recording, transcription, and AI summaries are optional features that each account enables deliberately. Customers are responsible for the recording-consent requirements that apply where their callers are located (some states require all parties’ consent), and for evaluating whether AI processing is appropriate for regulated content — see the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, Section 8.
